PROTECTED HAVEN SURROUNDED BY PALM TREES
Not only for ornithologists, or bird watchers, but also for many other people, watching magnificent, unique and wonderful birds is an experience that enriches your own life. Numerous bird species are hard to find in nature due to their natural habitat. Alternatives to long journeys are perfectly designed aviaries in the most diverse zoos on the continent.
One of the most impressive aviaries is currently on Tenerife. The Loro Parque is located on this Canary Island. The flight-loving Lori parrots live in an imposing open-air enclosure in the park. The aviary for the flight artists was built from the X-TEND stainless steel cable network from CARL STAHL ARCHITEKTUR. Among them are 17,000 cubic meters of species-appropriate living and air space, in which the Lori parrots can lead a carefree and protected life.
EXOTIC ON THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ISLAND OF THE CANARY ISLANDS
Exotic life in the middle of one of the most beautiful (holiday) islands in Europe – that’s what Loro Parque offers with its Katandra Tree Tops. In addition to the Lori parrots, many other unusual bird species can live here in one room, as large as the Paris Opera in its entirety. The highest point of the aviary is at a dizzying 27 meters.
Visitors can experience the birds not only from the outside, but also up close in the aviary. The entire area is accessible and is surrounded by around 3,200 m² of the X-TEND Colors CXE schwarz / black. If you see many of the magnificent animals at first glance, you have to look carefully for others and their feeding places in order to see them.
NOT ONLY THE BIRDS INVITE YOU TO LINGER
Benches inside the aviary invite you to sit down and linger so that the visitors are not just living creatures for the animals. So you can still spot the rare birds in a particularly quiet moment.
