IMPRESSIVE EXPERIENCE IN THE ZOO
Watching a snow owl in flight is an impressive experience. Visitors to the Karlsruhe Zoological Gardens have been enjoying this experience since 2017. The X-TEND stainless steel cable net from Carl Stahl ARC played an important role in the implementation.
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW AVIARY FOR SNOW OWLS IN KARLSRUHE
The X-TEND stainless steel cable mesh from Carl Stahl ARC was used to implement the free-flight aviary. This offers excellent properties for the design of zoo enclosures. With a rope thickness of 1.5 mm and a mesh size of 40 mm, it is extremely strong. Nevertheless, the net hardly affects the view of the animals. That makes the facility very attractive for visitors. In addition, the material used is extremely weatherproof. It is therefore ideally suited for the design of outdoor enclosures that are exposed to the sun and rain. The most important advantage of this stainless steel cable net is its high flexibility. This enables a wide range of individual design options. The network takes on very different shapes over an area of around 100 square meters and therefore adapts perfectly to the architectural conditions of the facility.
X-TEND: HIGH-QUALITY STAINLESS STEEL CABLE MESH FOR IMPLEMENTA
The numerous advantages that the X-TEND mesh offers mean that it is often used for zoo enclosures. The following list is just some of the most important projects in recent years:
- – Aralandia Wuppertal

- – Africa Rock San Diego USA
In addition, the X-TEND stainless steel cable mesh is ideal for monkey and even for predator enclosures.
